Was Sri Sri really shot at?

There is a little bit of this going around… The Home Minister made a statement on the lines that the entire incident “may” be just a brawl between ashramites and “seems” not to be an attack on Sri Sri Himself.

The minister made this statement within a few hours of the incident, even before the preliminary investigations were completed (they are still going on), which according to me was hasty and premature. The more crooked of the media people of course snatched on this statement, dropped the “may” and the “seems” from it and started having a field day with their wild speculations.

Guruji’s response to this was simple and direct. He said “Wise men see a victim inside every culprit. The crooked ones will try to make a culprit out of a victim.”

I don’t think i need to say any more on this :)

Jai Gurudeva!

love

Its is indeed sick to see, the home minister beating around the bush so much !!!

He has needles of suspicion against maoists and nothing else. Never probably in any other country can a government downplay this kind of of incident. And such fantastic stories floating around….

very very sad indeed with the affairs of this country.

    • chander says:

May be person who came to shot Sri sri ravi shanker , his whole thinking changed once he saw Guruji and he shot in AIR .
So our Guruji was not shot at .

      Sounds interesting

to all crooked ones—> JAI GURUDEVA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Arvind says:

PC himself talked about avoiding early speculation & he himself speculates on it being an internal brawl. How SHAMEFUL for someone in his position to have loose talk

He’s indeed a SHAME to our Proud Spiritual Mother India.

  5. Sachin Gogate says:

If you want people to believe this was an assassination attempt, you must explain why only one bullet was fired from 700 feet in heavy rain !! Is the Ashram atmosphere really so powerful that the attacker made such stupid mistakes ??

The greater story behind this needs to be analyzed and accepted. AOL followers should stop expecting that everyone in the world will view Sri Sri as some Avatar or great Guru. People are entitled to their own opinions and its a free world. If someone writes negatively about Guruji, your sentiments should not get hurt. Otherwise you are no different from other religious zealots who proselytize and impose on others. Be more passive. Let people come to AOL when they are ready.

    • Bawa says:

Yes, the ashram atmosphere is really so powerful. Right now, there are around 40 naxal leaders who have come here to lay down their arms. This is not the first time it has happened. This also doesn’t happen only around Guruji, it happens around other teachers too.
The greater truth behind this incident needs to be appreciated by people like you who really have no idea about the power that is meditation.

        Bau,
do we really need to entertain such people?
        :@ :-(

I think yes ….but upto certain extent….coz blog becomes more spicy :) (without olive oil added into it :) ) and that “extent” is decided by our lovely super cool “Mr.Khurshed Batliwala” Bauuuuuuuuu :) :)

Also, we need representatives from all sections of people,
he happens to represent Ignorant and Idiotic section.

    • Rahul says:

“Otherwise you are no different from other religious zealots who proselytize and impose on others.”
      Mr Sachin Gogate,
how can you even make such a comparison?
Do you know how many people have been killed by ‘other religious zealots’ in last century alone?
How much hatred is spewed by these ‘religious zealots’ towards other cultures and civilizations?
Your logic seems, 99.99% = 0.01%. Even then it would inaccurate.
Because what we are doing is correcting a retard who is making incorrect, baseless, fancy, imaginative statements about us. You should rather be wondering about the reason behind this guy’s prejudice.

It’s funny, how in this country, a terrorist is innocent until proven guilty, and even then he deserves a fair trial, chicken biryani and ‘mercy’. and saints are guilty until proven innocent.
      God save India.

    • KN says:

Well now there is a dog theory and ashram’s neighbor having shooted that stray bullet. But guruji in his video mentioned that terrorist shot a bullet(though only 1 because of change of heart).
i wonder if dog theory is real then.

  6. The most troubling factor is how the media simply flashes quotes taken out of context and sometimes even completely misquotes what has been said. It’s hightime that we as a nation stop treating media as the primary source of information as they mostly give us opinions and not facts. They themselves call true incidents ‘STORIES’.

And no matter what the police and the govt believe, they must continue to investigate. A bullet was fired and that is reason enough to investigate. I hope they don’t shamefully put this off.

A person who has never been to the Ashram is probably going to be skeptical about the power of the place. But being a place where meditation happens on an everyday basis, the energy is brilliant. Something that one should experience for themselves.

    • Sravya says:

yes what you said is absolutely right….we should stop considering media as a prime source of info…i myself witnessed it when a private news channel quoted guruji as saying that this assasination bid is an act of terrorists only …i dint hear that from guruji…
      jai gurudeva..

  7. Sudha.P says:

    Dear Sir,

It ‘s indeed sad to see that the suitation of our country is going from bad to worse and media is absolutely pathetic.
As an Indian it hurts me to see that government is not doing anything good of the welfare of us (common citizen) and when a great person like Guruji does government instead of protecting and honoring such great legends , they find stupid faults and make great accusations. If the politicians sons are kidnapped and murdered then don’t even ask innocent lives are being claimed . Ajmal Kasab gets protection in this country, Terrorists Naxalites, tratiors gets protection in this country . Social reformers, Spiritual leaders don’t get any protection .
This is the worst Government ever a world have got. No wonder my words are true This govt is the most worst governemnt Just hope something good happens here

  8. Swati D says:

    Hi Bawu,
Nice said Guruji :) and very True.
Do we need to discuss/ response such people who are having doubt about AOL or guruji?
As they may not have experienced the sudarshan Kriya , satsang and meditation as well. So why to entertain them?

    Jai Gurudev!!!
    Love You,
    Bawa and Dinesh Bhiya

  9. hamsa says:

I think its pretty atrocious that the Home Minister makes a statement of this kind .. the assumptions implicit in the statement, as someone else also pointed out in an earlier comment, are atrocious and pretty defamatory ..

I don’t think in any other country, would (official) statements like this be made of a spiritual organisation .. and even in our country, there would be pretty low tolerance if this had been said of many (religious) leaders or organisations ..

    Jgd, love.

  10. hamsa says:

ps Yes, His comment is wonderful ! :-) jgd, love

  11. Rajkiran says:

for almost 2 days news was flashing all over every ” INDIAN ” news channel, but as soon as they found another bit of news to raise the TRP’s they are even barely showing the attack incident, what was a hype 2 days ago is taken a back seat now and the PC and Banglore DGP are trying to get away from resposiblity but they forget the fact ” with great power comes great responsibility ”

    Jai gurudev
PS. Cant wait to see u at all summer magic!!!

  12. Mihir says:

The picture looks like the Home Minister is “trying” to cover up the incident, so as to not cause panic and chaos in common people, however as is the case with “trying” , he is creating more chaos & confusion. The Home Minister believes the Ashram to be a place like any other where people can’t let go of their mutual disagreements and sit together. However this incident has made people more receptive to what we tell about the power of meditation and the changes that YES!+ can bring in them. So I guess, the Home Minister is only doing what he thinks is right, which unfortunately isn’t and as Guruji said there should be a proper investigation into it and not just blaming
    Jai Gurudeva!

  13. Oh damn this concocting media..i think we should have a separate, specialized, highly intensive AOL course for the media and the politicians.

  14. Shilpa says:

iv just touched base wth net personally n its so good to read this post,
    thanks Bau, its perfect…Ja Gurudev

  15. Akshata says:

What a lovely quote from Guruji!!! So true!!! :)

  16. Rishap says:

Truly said bawa that the power of ashram is very high which i truly belive though i have never been to ashram. but it need to be found that why was only one shot fired. now the police r claiming that it was done to scare away dogs by the neighbouring farmer. this issue should not be taken as lightly as other issues.
waiting to come to ashram coming very soon during summer magic
    bye Jai Gurudev

  17. Sam says:

Well turns out a neighbouring farmer was trying to scare dogs away ! By why the heck would anyone want to kill Ravishankar ? They can do enough damage to him through their blogs

  18. hari says:

Remember you once said about Guruji telling you whether the ashram car has left already or not. In this case couldn’t the Guruji have found out who it was fired by and if it was really fired at him?
The reason Guruji knew about the car was because he probably knew before hand about the car leaving. There could be lot of reasonable explanations to Guruji’s special powers. I believe he might have curative powers, and some premonitions, but nothing special. other wise he can solve lot of the problems.
Are you sure you are not drinking the kool-aid, or is it that since you have put in lot of your good years into AOL you want to believe the kool-aid. too late to smell the coffee???
The reason I am asking is because I also have been drinking the AOL kool-aid for a long time. I really pray its not kool-aid. fingers crossed.

  19. leela chutneys says:

It was not a murder attempt on Guruji. We just lost an oppurtunity to claim Guruji’s attack and subsequent forgiveness of the attackers. It was a dog folks. Thanks Guruji you made all of us laugh. It is all your leela.

    • Bawa says:

I wonder how much of a leela you would feel if a stray bullet appeared near you after grazing and injuring someone standing close to you … would you quickly jump to the conclusion that oh its a farmer firing shots in the air to scare of stray dogs, esp. if it has never happened before in the last 29 years or so?

  20. jgd says:

    perplexed…..
What do we make of the fact that it was just a shot aimed at stray dogs ? With his enlightenment, would Guruji not know of this already ? Why did he make statement that a violent shooter left his violence in vicinity of ashram. ?

  21. Manasi says:

we should understand that our guruji is so full of love & compassion that hate in any form or any stupid comments are not going to harm or affect him…he is beyond all that..bcoz the power of love he spreads is more powerful than anything else in the world….he is magic & mystery…we should learn to ignore the ignorant comments from ignorant people……!!!!!!!!! guruji rocks & always will..jai gurudev…!!!!!!!!!!!!!
