Sage Narada says…
One moment of Samadhi is like the experience of 1000 unions happening simultaneously expounds the Sage Narada in His sublime Bhakti Sutras. You may wonder why a Sage, an Enlightened Rishi is talking about sex, and in fact measuring the bliss of Samadhi in units of orgasms.
When an Enlightened Master teaches, He will teach so that almost everyone listening (reading) will understand. The Bhakti Sutras are not a privileged conversation like the ones between Krishna and Arjuna of the Bhagawad Geeta, or between King Janaka and the Sage Ashtavakra of the Ashtavakra Geeta.

The Bhakti Sutras, aphorisms about Love are meant for the interested lay person. The two deepest impressions in the mind are those of food and sex. Throughout the various incarnations, you have had food and you have had sex. The Sage knows that this at least you will surely understand.
At the time of orgasm, for a few seconds the mind has no thoughts, you experience a blissful thoughtless state of almost no mind. Narada explains that the bliss of meditation, just one moment of Samadhi is equivalent to 1000 such orgasms happening all at once!
Even the grossest, most libidinous person will now really want to learn to meditate and experience this magical state of no mind. And so, the Sage gently and skillfully, in language that anyone can understand, nudges the devotee towards the ultimate Bliss of the Being.
Guruji has talked at length about the Bhakti Sutras of Sage Narada. Both in English and in Hindi. They are profound, intimate and most times really funny discourses, guaranteed to elevate your consciousness while you chuckle away with mirth. Do get them and listen
More importantly, Meditate.

Jai Gurudev Bhaiya
Amazing………….
It is an amazing way of making understand who try to find excuses Not to Meditate.. And to Whom who does not understand the strengh of Meditation…..
Just Loving It every single Post of yours each day….
hmmm….gud one….
The Narada Bhakti Sutras is one of the most amazing knowledge I have ever ever come across. Seriously ! Simply Amazing
And the point in the post has been explained really nicely
Moreover the pic is very good !
Happiness and so called uninturrupted bliss can be painful for the body. I agree with UG when he said Mastrubation is better than meditation.
YOu guys are kidding yourselves and others. I am damned sure if you were honest you wouldnt be claiming the things you have been claiming. But it helps your holy business of selling bliss and happiness. I would say take some dope dudes that is far blissfull and indeed less harmless than disruptive breathing practices and your silly meditation.
hey bau wow loved it
will listen 2 bhakti sutra

Yahoo.. I got it rite….
very nice to read

jai gurudev …
How do we know whether we are meditating???
Isn’t it better to take a break if and start again if the mind is involved in too much of thinking? my meditation becomes more like a appreciate knowledge session or getting to know your hight of creating fantasy or observing what all my patterns. I have just stopped worrying about these things at least while I sit for mediation. Now I just sit with a hope that some day these questions will dissolve in the answer, in my meditation. Is it only time that will give me the answer? I find the three sankalpas which you sit with for meditation more of an effort. I just ask who am I, what do i actually want and i just get lost in my thoughts.
if there are many thoughts, you may need to check your diet and some parts of your life style … no non veg, cut down on sugar and maida (refined flour), also on onions, garlic and chilly… the first 2 play havoc with your system, the next 3 contribute a bit… And dont use your ideas about the Sankalpas, you simply take them and sit, dont make up your own stuff. Finally some Seva and at least one Satsang a week will greatly enhance your experience. If you have not learned Sahaj yet, do learn that …
haanji!!
as you say it!!:)
I knew this knowledge point and once I told it to a friend … he said that the process of wooing a partner and taking to bed is much more exciting then sitting in a corner daily and do dhyan …this is a common thinking … Bau,How can one get such people to meditate?..
The first can be a lot of fun definitely, and the Rishi doesn’t belittle that aspect of life at all, but unless he (your friend) has done his sitting in a corner for some time and truly learned to meditate, he is really in no position to comment on whats more exciting
… Invite him to learn and do meditation at least as long as he thinks (about) and has sex, then if he wishes he may pass comments
WOW!!!
thts nice…
already people said this sadhna point….

Sorry… forgot to say great post – can’t wait to read your next one!
So Bawa..how do I know I have experienced Samadhi…I do Sahej twice daily.
and I have had great relaxing experiences which I can’t describe..
But nothing So Blissful
So Please do write more about the experience
Jai Gurudev
besides Sage Narada’s sayings the picture that you’ve posted is fabulous !
JaiGuruDeva !
Yay I have watched Bhakti Sutras! They are really profound but not overpowering, and spectacular to listen to and comprehend. And yes, Guruji is very funny in that series!
Arey Waah
you’ve put it really nicely Bau
What beautiful things this world has, and all for us to explore!
It’s overwhelmingly magnificient and glorious !
However, some funny rishi kamanandas will never get it !
They are totally welcome not to ! God knows why they STILL take the effort to visit your blog and even comment !
(I guess it’s part of their efforts to remove ignorance – by removing human beings from the world ! )
Bawa that’s a beautiful picture..I remember what a spiritually powerful n profound teacher you are..Then my meditations with Guruji..how powerfully he leads you deep n deeper into bliss..
So far I have heard that drugs give such illusionary experiences for a brief while and then users’ bodies and brains rot.
Presunably one has to be really very lucky to meet the Masters… Be intelligent enough to recognize n follow them to be so blessed in life
Loved the picture for this post… and was looking forward for ur comments on the answers that u got last week… twas gr8 fun to read them… some of them were hilarious
… And just to add to Monica’s comment on the blessed rishi kamanandas- “Opposite values are complimentary”
… JGD!
AWESOME BAWA, i remember Rajesh bhaiya too told us the same. I have read THE NARADA BHAKTI SUTRA , simply AMAZING. i also gifted it to my friend,
THX BAWA

Truly said….

There is absolutely no comparison to the experience of Samadhi….
Meditation is far more a better choice than sex…
Love,Jai Gurudeva
Swapnil
We are not making any choice here, or are we putting sex down … The Rishi simply compares the two and urges people to learn and practice meditation… thats all
Bau
I have a related question…
What is the difference between Sudarshan Kriya and Seduction Kriya?
Ask those who teach the second one
Bawa the picture is just too good, though i don’t know what does it signifies!?
to tell you the truth, even i don’t know, but it looks so nice… and somehow seems to go with the these of the post
wot about the rose???? today’s monday???
jgd,
thanks.this beautiful knowledge is explained so well in a very simple language that eveyone can undetstand. it is very helpful for people who are stuck with sex in their mind.
@rishi nitya prema sukha kamanadaJEEEE and Floyd’s friend:
You have the following two options:
1) You take dope, alcohol, and/or get cosy with your partner. You don’t invest anything in these. You simply do nothing, just sniff that powder, drink your shot, and/or climb into bed with your partner. It does not take much effort. The neurochemicals take over. But the pleasure is momentary – when you come after sex, it is only for a few moments that you experience a great heightening of pleasure and bodylessness. It is indeed momentary. (I do not mean to belittle the act.)
2) You invest personal discipline and faith. You sit daily and make efforts to meditate. Initially, it may even be frustrating when you can not seem to get anywhere. But with gradual effort and Guruji’s grace, you start experiencing higher levels. Eventually (and that may be years altogether), the bliss experienced is far far greater in intensity, is long-lasting, and percolates in to your daily living.
What do you choose?
“Where you go from here will depend on the choice you’ll make”.
The eternal song of the opposites complimenting each other .. is potrayed !!.. The Song of Love !!, Promise of togatherness,
clarity and purity of the being .. which means to be available totally in the present moment totally .. is the need to be totally in the experience.. it could be eating, running, meeting
….
runnning can not be compared with eating.. their values are unique … so is the value in the question
with meditation , our being becomes so subtle, light that subtler aspects, quietly reveal ..
hmm…let me be very candid abt dis bau…i used 2do kriya nd meditasn and all for around 18 monc but trust me i didnt experience anything…so for me your knowledge is just a mere talk…without any base…so i would defntly say that meditasn is 1/1000 of sex…forget “1000 times betr dan sex”…jgd
whatever, but please learn to spell correctly … if its meditasn that u do, maybe thats way inferior to sex … i am talking about meditation!
Reminds me of Renton’s monologue in the movie Trainspotting (A Danny Boyle creation that was indcidentally a gazillion times more brilliant than Slumdog Millionaire) on Heroin – “Take the best orgasm you ever had, multiply it by a thousand and you’re still nowhere near it.”. Maybe meditation is a means of regulating neuro-chemicals without an external stimuli. After all, they say the brain can’t distinguish between what it sees and what it imagines.
Bawa m I agree with what you say , but trust me , its really hard to convince non-devotees about this … plus people have such bad eating habits and lifestyle nowadays … I really feel helpless when explaining about meditation to these people.
Guruji has said this about meditation
A mind without agitation is meditation
A mind in the present moment is meditaion
A mind which has become no mind is meditation
A mind that has no hesitation is meditation
A mind that has no anticipation is meditation
A mind that has come back home to the source is meditaion
There is Guruji’s beautiful book called Space Within. It explains meditation beautifully and one can learn techniques in Sahaj Samadhi Course and in Advance course.
We were told by our DSN teacher that even ordinary walking can be meditation and he demonstrated how..
Laughing really hard for the meditasn comment!U r awesome!
How well have u explained meditation swati!!
in continuation to urs…..
The mind in pure awareness is meditation
could be in action or inaction
for meditation to happen,
certain cleanliness of mind is needed
minimum cleanliness from desires is the need
Desire is the hindrance to reach the higher
Desire is linked with thoughts of anxiety, agitation etc.. restlessness for the fruit of the action
When the mind is not yet ready for meditation, it is imp to work on desires based on karma yoga …
eg: that is the reason some of the masters say to go and play football rather than sit with no where to go …
so both activity and meditation practice are required.. then slowly one starts to enjoy the joy in meditation
once the joy in sitting meditation is experienced, One can maintain that state during the daily activities too
To work on meditation is an imp aspect , with out which nothing would appear bright and lively ..
Life would look moments of pleasure and sorrow , boredom ….
To the extent of awakened awareness is the Joy ultimate !!!
Realise and no matter wat .. be on Sadhana, Seva and Satsang !!!
A nice spiritual recipe we have, Wonderfull combination
Sadhana, Seva and Satsang !!!
Thank u !!!!
@Jaimin : (comment#38) That was really nice!
Jai Guru Dev.

I read a good article on Spiritual Experiences in a local newspaper(have shared it down below which may help some of the questions posted) also have heard Guruji mention this (like he always does on important things especially, mentions it very casually!) that spiritual experience is not the goal,
Just experience and move on, if you don’t experience anything also, just keep doing it and move on…..
(the article…Spiritual Experience
During the practice of meditation, there would be innumerable changes in the psychosomatic system and many spiritual experiences would be felt. There would be a process of decomposition and recomposition of body cells. The process of rejuvenation of body, mind equipment would set in.
Some of the different experience during meditation are lightness or heaviness of body, expansion and shrinkage of body, feeling like nothingness, levitation, sensation of heat and coldness, shivering, jerks, vision of different kinds of lights, hearing of sounds, appearance of various scenes, sun, moon, stars, saints, divine figures etc.. These are the experience of subtle planes. We have not to get attached to these spiritual experience. They are indicators of progress in mediation but have no special significance. The basic purpose of meditation is self-transformation we should not aspire for spiritual experience and also not to stop at any particular experience.
No spiritual experience is repeated. Every time there is a new spiritual experience. Some practitioners get attached to the spiritual visions and declare themselves gurus, and father disciples, their spiritual progress stops. Some other practitioners lose their balance of ind on account of getting attached with these spiritual experience or giving them undue and undesirable importance. We have to be very careful in this regard. We should be normal and simple, and have to do divine work and to live for the lord. His will is supreme. we should not fall a prey to ego or slave to personal desires. the journey of meditation is unique and very interesting. It provides peace, power, delight, love and beauty, we have to imbibe these qualities. Normally spiritual experiences happen in mediation in majority of the cases but there is no hard and fast rule that spiritual experience must happen. The most important objective is self transformation. Spiritual experience happen at the inner level. We have not to stop our meditation during these experiences so as to see the visions outside. There would be nothing outside on the physical plane. We should observe all the spiritual experience witness and surrender the same to the Lord.
hahaha ! Bau your comment on meditasn.
You’re the coolest

1. Yes, Guruji also told in Narad Bhakti Sutra: Rishi Narada explained the unknown un-experienced phenomena by first talking about known things. Journey from known to unknown, experienced to un-experienced. He precisely explained difference between lust and love.
2. Yes I agree, The Narada Bhakti Sutras is one of the most amazing knowledge I have ever ever come across. Seriously ! Simply Amazing
3. I heard one incident. A person taking most effective, expensive drugs, met another one at Himalaya and offered this drug to him. That person tested it and replied that the experience of this much large quantity of this drug is nothing in front of SAMADHI.
4. Picture is also too good.
/* Please remove this below 5th point, if we are not supposed to discuss Ashtavkra CD content on public blog, else let it be. */
5. This also remind me, the three level of sex that Guruji discussed in Ashtavakra Gita. Physical, mental and spiritual. It is longing of each soul to unite (YOGA) with the divine. It is spiritual level. To adjust with partner in day to day life is mental level. Lust is at physical level.
Regards and Keep Smiling
Manish
Life is a flow, a continuous flow ..
At the time of action, there is no actor but only action
At the moment of action, there is no control ‘
Subconscious mind takes over ( preconceived notions/concepts )
Story: A hero was once asked, who is the one he likes in his life. He says that he likes his tailor the most, to which every one laugh … then he replies that , my tailor takes my fresh measurement every time …
1.) This is unawareness (living based on previous concepts is like living in the past all the time)
2.) Awareness is, being aware of the action, when in action
** Meditation is a practice that opens us in awareness
An observer at all times
Some even stay aware even during sleep …. !!!!!!
** It could be any action, running, eating, mating, playing …
The extent of awareness defines the quality of experience
Total Awareness Alone is in itself a joy ..(battery)( pure potential )
There is no comparison with the toy ( running, playing.. )
Comparing awareness with activity is like comparing battery with a toy, seed with a seedling ..
manish, muthu
thanks a ton for sharing this info on meditation

from this perticular session… i take up with me the imp of meditation ..

Every time, it is like a dip in the holy ganges …
we become more and more centered..
Wonderful explanation.
This can be understood only by few fortunate ones, those who have really experienced that few secs of Nothingness state of mind during Meditation.
For those who have doubts whether they experienced bliss of Samadhi or not then it can be very well experienced by attending any Meditation sesion in presence of Sri Sri.
