Enchanted / A Mirror has Two Faces
Went on a movie spree 
Watched a superb Disney movie- “Enchanted” and an absolutely delightful Barbra Streisand movie “The Mirror has Two Faces”
And so throughly enjoyed both of them…
Enchanted has all the stuff of a classic fairy tale, a princess, her prince, talking animals, a power hungry wicked step mother, a dragon, poisoned apples and even a glass slipper … Only it all happens in New York! …And not everything is what it seems to be…
Starts off as a cartoon, Prince saves princess from rampaging troll… Of course they fall in love and disappear into the sunset, to get married the next day… enter wicked step mother who doesn’t want prince to get married coz then she wont be queen anymore… so she tricks princess and manages to banish her off tooooo … “a land where there are no happy endings” – New York!
So, will there be a happy ending? Of course there will… and knowing this you can watch the rest of the movie as it careens helter skelter towards the final Kiss of True Love in classic Disney tradition…
Superb songs, great acting, lovely scenes from New York, (i especially loved all the Central Park scenes, made me remember all the walks i have had there when i was in New York- felt kinda nostalgic )… All combine brilliantly to make the movie a thoroughly enjoyable romp, definitely worth watching with people you love… Solid, good hearted, must watch Disney mush…
A movie that makes you feel All will be well in the World and that Love will actually conquer all… And i guess that’s a message that needs to be reinforced again and again for all of us…
Barbra Streisand’s movie was utterly charming… A fairly adult theme… Can 2 good looking, very intelligent people be in love without having sex, have a marriage minus sex? In America? For how long? And the consequences… and how will it all end?
Set in New York again, its very funny, very thoughtful, superbly acted and produces a very cuddly, warm feeling in your heart and stomach as you watch. It’s quite a long movie, but time goes very fast… look out for Barbra’s speech about love in the first part of the movie, it’s really great…
There is also Jeff Bridges, Pierce Brosnan and George Segal… And the movie has been directed by Barbra Streisand.
Utterly watchable!

Bawa! Did you really enjoy Enchanted or did you wait to do two rounds of long kriya before writing the post?! The music was quite un-lovely. Didn’t the “Aa aa aa” bird call make your ears bleed by the end?
I guess the most important take-away is to watch the movie “with people you love”.
A Mirror has Two faces is superb and it makes me nauseous to see it in the same sentence as Enchanted. Opposite values ARE complimentary after all…
