When 9/11 happened, what Guruji said is still perfectly relevant after what happened in my beloved Mumbai, and here it is word for word for everyone to read…
I thought of changing the blog design to something darker for a few days, but then decided that this would mean that terror has won over love and peace…
So, it stays this way, bright and colourful and beautiful and hopeful
We need more peace, we need more people to learn to meditate, we need EVERYONE who has learned to meditate, to not miss even a day of their Sadhana… When there will be more and more Satwa on our planet, i know these things will become extinct! Your simple and super potent contribution to stop this would be an unwavering resolve to do your Sadhana every single day, come what may… and bring many, many more, millions of more people on to our courses…
and oh yes, a change of government would help a lot as well… so next election time, go and vote these present jokers out!

Terrorism: The Cause and the Remedy

The act which is only destructive and inflicts suffering both on oneself and others is terrorism. In such an act, human values are lost in the process of achieving a goal.
Some of the factors that lead to terrorism are:
Frustration and desperation to achieve a goal
Confused emotion
Shortsightedness and Impulsive action
Belief in a non-verifiable concept of heaven and merit; a childish concept of God favoring some and angry at others, thereby undermining the omniscience and omnipotence of the Divine.
Terrorism induces fear psychosis in all, increases poverty, suffering and loss of life with no apparent gains. Instead of solutions the terrorist looks for destruction as an answer. If you simply criticize without giving a solution, know that this criticism comes from the same seed as terrorism!
Although there are certain qualities you can appreciate in a terrorist such as:
* Fearlessness
* Commitment to a goal
* Sacrifice
You will have to learn from them things that you should never do:
* Valuing some ideas and concepts more than life.
* Having a narrow perspective of life and dishonoring its diversity.
The Remedy for terrorism is:
* Inculcate a broader perspective of life — value life more than race, religion and nationality.
* Educate people in human values – friendliness, compassion, cooperation and upliftment.
* Teach methods to release stress and tension.
* Cultivate confidence in achieving noble aims by peaceful and nonviolent means.
* Create spiritual upliftment which can weed out destructive tendencies.

Belief in a non-verifiable concept of heaven and merit…magar good karam- bad karam all these are non-verifiable as well? as in when one says that good karams of your past 5000 years will be quashed by this act and other such things?

yes you are absolutely right.i agree with you.we have to bring millions and billions on this path of sadhna sewa and satsang….the path of spirituality yoga and meditation.
i think we sadhaks who believe in this path should be more and more public in our activities more and more vocal to spread this greatest knowledge and wisdom and work with the greatest sense of togetherness.this is the age of globalisation.outer boundries are no longer there but we have to work on the small mind.as you say we need to act not react.

Really it is so sad that people out here on Earth are so stressed out, confused, deprived of love and ignorant. I STRONGLY feel now it is our responsibility to stand up against terrorism. Answer to terrorism is only and only LOVE AND PEACE. we have to be hard on terrorism and soft on terrorist as they are mentally sick we need to stand with them.
Now this event really impels me to do my TTC and go out there and teach people there who needs it the most

There were a few comments about why change the govt… i am not going to sully this blog by listing out the reasons, thats left as an exercise for the reader
… am not going to publish any of those comments either… in a way, the choice is between the devil and the deep sea, but if you read up the true history of India (Francois Gautier is a good place to start), then you will see what a selfish, misguided govt we have right now… We do need some good people to enter politics, one of those good people could be you… please go for it, and know that we will support you! 
As far as the Law of Karma being non verifiable… well, Karma, simply means you will face consequences for your actions… so according to the Law of karma, if you put rice in the cooker and cook it, you will get cooked rice… of course you could get any variation of “cooked”, all the way from not well cooked to burnt
… but you are not going to get tomato soup… right? if this was not in place, the universe would be even more weird than it is now 
Modern day hypnotists and psychologists actually use past life therapy… AND even you who are reading this have at least once got the feeling that “you have been here before” when you visited a new place… so karma is definitely verifiable and very much an experience for almost any human being!
Questioning Karma is childish, shows lack of spiritual depth and even a rudimentary understanding of what life is all about… i would suggest a few advance courses, and some inquiry into the nature of consciousness!
PLEASE dont comment on this comment, i want to start writing other nice stuff… one more post on 29/11 tomorrow, infact related to karmic consequences… then we start again with other things

yes bau i too agree with you of not reacting to tragic situation by the colour black instead representing it the way you have done…it is extremely disheartening to see people shedding their tears blood and to see such kind of destruction is extremely intolerable.we are all greatful to guruji for spreading peace and love throughout the world and especially teaching in prisons is a very good deed.the sacrifice the young soldiers have done can never be forgotten..

U r very much right BAWA!! What god wills it has to happen,we can’t change,but we can really by increasing satwa through sadhna.
But i would very humbly like to put one of my opinions which may oppose yours.Usually our political leaders are illiterate but this time we got a government headed by great economist and he really brought a lot of positive things for our country.And just on this basis that they could not control the terrorists helped by Don in less than just 60 hours,we can not say them jokers.And moreover if some terrorist plan is made unsuccessful it takes little space in newspapers as well as minds of the people.It is due to increased development in our country that terrorists are more interested in attacking it.So before we take the decision that one side there is well(kuan),we should also make sure pit(khai)is not there on the other side

Hi Bawa – Guruji’s words were so heavy and full of meaning (as always), I had to read it more than once to digest it. The snippet that Guruji has given was so concise and complete… I feel sad for the people who are debating this for hours in the media
Correctly put, Bawa. Some of the things few of us in Bangalore thought about was to have social police and neighborhood watch system. It may be futuristic, but can be started in seed form now.
These attacks are just blown out of proportion of what they did in IISc, when terrorists had put open fire.

Thought we’d get some real inspiring words from you as youth leader and icon. Agreed the need of the hour is to get maximum people on the path of spirituality, but in hindi there’s a saying ‘laaton ke bhoot baaton se nahin maante’, we also need a Bhagat Singh approach along with Gandhian beliefs. The people who laid down their lives so we can breathe easy were all karmayogis and died doing their duty, what do you think would Krishnas’ advice been today? We need people like you to guide us into how we go about doing our duties, we can go and kick out the politicos but HOW? WHO WILL GUIDE US? ANY LINKS?
