A Liar is Innocent

For 7 years, every week Guruji (Sri Sri Ravi Shankar) used to send out a page of Knowledge to be read out and discussed at the satsangs happening all over the world. He used to call it the Knowledge fax … This was before email became popular enough for everyone to use :)

Every week we waited eagerly for what Guruji would say through these Knowledge Sheets, many times we would be with Him while He dictated them out and we compiled them. The atmosphere would always be full of wisdom coupled with big doses of mirth. And the Knowledge sheets themselves are always profound, sometimes quite funny…

Dinesh and i decided to do a commentary on them, reliving those precious moments spent with Guruji, reading them out for you and peppering them with stories and examples of how this Knowledge from Him has come alive for us in our lives.

Re reading them now, after so many years of Sadhana, Seva and Satsang has made us realise just how beautiful and precious these words from Him are … We are throughly enjoying ourselves making these videos, we know you will love watching them too.

Knowledge sheet no. 13

I sincerely feel most of these are not practical. These sound good to get wows from the audience but is not practical. So by this logic a murderer is innocent. everyone criminal who gets caught is innocent bcos they get caught. if society functions this way then it would be total chaos. everyone will commit a crime, get caught and then claim they are innocent. Can’t even believe you pass this of as enlightened thought. I am sure you will come up with “you mis-understood it. the way to see it is this…”. It is easy for Guruji or you to say these as you have the AOL infrastructure to support you. Why is Guruji saying these things. If it was simple and true the world would have accepted it. Why is Guruji trying to force something on the people that is not natural. Why does AOL go about tom-toming that there are issues with the world and this is how it should be. The way it is now, is how it will be. Thousands of Gurujis will come and go. Have their 15 seconds of fame and glory. The world will be as it is. Why not just stick to Kriya which might have real value. Why not just stick to what can be experienced, like maybe Kriya.
aaaw gaawd!!! can’t get AOL out of my system and can’t accept this philosophy. what am I to do :)

It’s simply another point of view my dear … we say, save the mind at all costs, this is one of the ways
When your mind is calmed, then whatever action you take is a much better action than when you are disturbed
use the Knowledge to calm yourself, then take responsible action :)
Go a bit deeper in the Knowledge of Guruji, don’t be superficial about it…

As far as my knowledge Guruji never force any philosophy on anybody. That which has been so ancient wisdom of our soil, Guruji tells us. Guru’s come and go, but the essence and experience is the same. It will be as it is, that’s inevitable. A few years of life here, how to enjoy that without conflict is what it’s taught me. Rejoice without conflict:-D

If you have not already seen this – the story of stuff. -watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLBE5QAYXp8 -

Of course there are other sides to this argument – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5uJgG05xUY&NR=1.

The more u watch the critique – the more the original sounds more true.
There are other videos on http://www.storyofstuff.com/

    Thanks

Just another incidence that took place recently
my friend lied to me and i couldn’t catch it. But later from another source I came to know about his lie and got very angry on him that he hides the things from me.
So in this case where he clearly manages to lie and i couldn’t catch still I supposed to call a Liar innocent ?

  6. roma says:

Jgd… What you say are heeling words when betrayed… But then, when the closest person starts lying, things dont go so smooth… Trust on the person is lost n we start seeing the world in suspicious manner… over all attitude changes, which is negative n not at all comfortable… We start regretting that we dont even deserve the truth from the person we love… and thats most guilty feeling… how is it possible to 4give ourself n the liar at that moment… thinking power is reduced, no knowledge point strikes the mind… though it strikes, the capacity to apply the point is least…

  7. roma says:

Jgd… I do my kriya… but most of the times in hurry… and other times bad thoughts trouble while doing it… so most of my attention goes to the thoughts… Does it mean that i m not doing the kriya properly?
